The film introduces us to five women with an urgent call to action and an empowering plea for self-determined female sexuality. From the Hasidic community in Brooklyn (Deborah Feldman best known for the book and movie UNORTHODOX) to India, Japan, London, Somalia, and Germany we follow these courageous women who are struggling to end harmful cultural practices like genital mutilation, rape, and shaming of female sexuality. We witness these female activists who were taught to be silent while confronting the very entities that have suppressed them.
